David is qualified as a Boxing for Fitness instructor, is an interval training instructor, has a red belt in Mixed Martial Arts from the Cobra Martial Arts Academy in Perth, Australia. He also has a BEng degree engineering and business studies.
David has trained people of a variety of fitness levels and worked with them to maintain their progress. In any given Boxing for Fitness class he pushes beginners and advanced students alike to achieve their respective fitness goals. Grouping students of a similar fitness level together for interval training classes, he was able to tailor each class to extract the most from each group.
Having started exercising regularly at the age of 25, after a couple of years David allowed himself to stop training after due to work commitments. During this time he put on weight and began smoking again. David then took one week off work. His only objectives for that week were to exercise three times each day, eat well and not smoke! After this intensive week David continued to exercise for one hour, four to five times per week for the next five weeks before gradually intensifying his training after that. The results were notable after the first week and more so after the five subsequent weeks. The pictures show David before and after what he now calls the Refit Yourself Program. David now enjoys cycling, walking, judo and playing squash.
The knowledge gained from this personal experience and from training others enables David to relate to what people go through both mentally and physically while getting in shape. He also understands the feeling you get when you accomplish one of your fitness goals and the excitement of striving to achieve new levels of fitness. Refit Yourself facilitates people to accomplish these goals.
